Is Glee Broadway Bound? Executive Producer Ryan Murphy Says Yes.

In Glee, The Roundup on August 14, 2010 at 6:54 pm

After a sold-out concert tour and a summer hiatus, the cast of Glee is back at work, and Executive Producer Ryan Murphy confirms to Playbill.com that a stage version of the hit Fox show will be hitting America’s Great White Way. According to the Playbill.com article, Murphy is already auditioning for the show and “it’s definitely happening.” Obviously, the soon-to-be smash hit musical is still in its infancy, so there’s not much to report, but with the show’s much-anticipated second season premiering September 21, it’s obvious that creators are striking while the Glee club is hot. Check out the full article from Playbill.com, which also states that a film adaptation of the concert tour may be on the way.

This leaves me wondering. Between all the song downloads, album sales, DVD & BluRay discs, merchandising licenses, and the show itself, is Glee getting over exposed?

What do you guys think? Would you see a Glee movie or get tickets to the show?

So you like show tunes. It doesn't mean you're gay. It just means you're awful. ~Sue Sylvester
